Importance of Personal Hygiene
and the Science Behind It

Are you tired of your children asking why they have to wash their hands or brush their teeth? Then this is the class for you! Students will learn proper hand washing, nail care, and brushing their teeth. We will learn why these are important and the science behind hand washing and what happens if we don’t have good personal hygiene.

We will also learn about caring for small cuts, scratches, and scabs. We’ll talk about the overall immune system and what happens at a basic cellular level. We will learn through teacher discussion and/or demonstrations, teacher/student questions and answers, videos, songs, Kahoot games, and optional print outs and an experiment.
